Well that turned out to be Busy Bee Tools. I was a little hesitant at first as this was my first purchase of this caliber from them. My concern was it wan't of the brands normally relied upon in my studio. To be clear Busy Bee has been an excellent source of small tools and bits and pieces, I had just not the opportunity to purchase any of their shop machines before. But as I said it came down to who had one in stock. And at least by my internet research it had the same specs and appearance as the brands I am familiar with. As a matter of fact they look so much alike (colour aside) one has to think they all come from the same manufacturing plant anyway. Sadly not domestic.
So hear is a short review. - it's great. It put together easily, with good instructions. I took it from the box to full on heavy sanding in a matter of hours. The CX505 handled the work load with conviction. Within minutes any doubts I may have had were gone like the rough edges I was sanding. If it lasts anywhere near as long as it's predecessor you will never hear a complaint from me. Well maybe except where to put it, as it is clearly going to stay.
